Coachmen Northern Spirit
MSRP* Starting from $26,995
Overview
The Coachmen Northern Spirit is a half-ton-friendly family travel trailer that balances real living space with an easy tow. Bunk-friendly floorplans, a slide-out living area, and dependable Coachmen build quality make it a favorite for growing families.
Trim Levels Overview
The Northern Spirit lineup is built around one idea — a comfortable, family-ready trailer that your current tow vehicle can actually pull. Both trims keep the slide-out living area and bunk-friendly layouts, so the difference comes down to how light you need to go.
- Northern Spirit SE: The value-packed family trim — sleeps up to 8, a slide-out living area, and a layout built for weekends with the kids. 31 ft, half-ton towable.
- Northern Spirit Ultra Lite: An even lighter build for smaller tow vehicles, keeping the comfort while shaving pounds. (Ask us about current availability.)

Built for Family Weekends
With bunk space for the kids, a slide-out living area that opens up the floorplan, and a dry weight light enough for a half-ton truck, the Northern Spirit is made for the trips you'll actually take — loaded up, everyone along, and an easy tow to the campground.
View InventoryWhy Choose the Northern Spirit
The Coachmen Northern Spirit earns its spot with growing families because it doesn't make you choose between livable space and an easy tow. The bunk-friendly floorplans sleep the whole crew, the slide-out living area gives everyone room to spread out at camp, and the half-ton-friendly weight means most families can pull it with the truck or SUV already in the driveway.
How It Compares
Among lightweight family travel trailers, the Northern Spirit lands in a sweet spot — roomier and more bunk-focused than the smallest ultra-lites, yet lighter and easier to tow than a full-size fifth wheel. If your priority is sleeping capacity and a comfortable living area without stepping up to a three-quarter-ton truck, it's one of the more sensible picks on our lot.
